Alpha Lunchtime Group is an informal group giving students the opportunity to explore their questions about life, faith and God.
This group is facilitated by a Scripture Union volunteer, Natalie Jupp who is also the Christian SRE (Scripture) teacher at Melville High School. It is overseen by Scripture Union NSW, an organisation recognised by the Department of Education in their Religious Education Implementation Procedures as a coordinator of Christian Voluntary Lunchtime groups in NSW schools.
All students are welcome to attend, a permission note is required and can be picked up from the front office or from Natalie Jupp during class/group.
The school principal gives permission for the group to operate under the care and guidance of leaders who have applied to and been approved by Scripture Union NSW who comply with all relevant child protection policies and protocols. The group is entirely voluntary which means that students are free to stay or leave if they wish.
Alpha meets fortnightly at lunchtime on Tueday B Week in classroom 19. *bring your lunch
